Looks a decent buy from the little I've seen of him. Seems to add something different to Rice and Soucek so can see all 3 playing in the team at the same time.

I keep seeing this. Out of the 29 league games he's played this season he has played as a defensive midfielder ONCE. Every other game he's played as a central midfielder.

Not been a long drawn out affair
He obviously wants to come, and doesn't need persuading, ala Bacca and Maxi Gomez, WTF
Been kept low profile in the media
No other idiot bids from competitor clubs (Everton and The Yids always seem to get lairy when we are after a player)
He's the right age bracket for the physical side of the game in that position
For the record, I don't think we will be selling Rice or Soucek. This is just another strong player who can play whenever and wherever required
The money is about perfect for our budget
We'll win a trophy next season, stand on me.
